Report: Many Iowa coal plants among nation’s oldest - Cedar Rapids Gazette (new window)

Iowa is home to some of the nation’s oldest coal-fired power plants, according to a new report released today by Environment Iowa. Iowa gets about three-fourths of its energy statewide from coal power plants, compared to the national average of 50 percent, the advocacy group says.
